Why kings? Well for one I wanted for a longtime to draw Michelangelo’s David, that stern iconic gaze was something I believe embodies a look of power, discipline and righteousness. Attributes I think throughout history have always tried to be installed into us and I feel like as a man it’s important to honour that.
I believe there is a rebirth of self in life, a second coming. That point can only be determined by you. When it comes it will present itself differently to each and everyone of you and this painting will hopefully inspire you to become; Powerful, Disciplined and Righteous.
