Woodbury Common
This place is special. When the sun is high and covering the vastness of the common, beautiful spaces appear all over. This is little spot on the walk up to Split Wood by Four Firs is known by the Royal Marines as “Sniper’s Copse”, a little cluster of trees situated in the middle of multiple paths. I frequently go up there for finding inspiration, self clarity and just having a lovely walk. This won’t be the last one I paint of Woodbury Common but it’s certainly one of a kind.
